Richard Smith - Dunstable 30 Hr Oak Longcase Clock C.1740


Single hand movement with 11 inch dial, matted centre with doves in a Narrow oak case (later carved) and original bulls eye glass lentical, original brass pendulum and large bell.

Although the case benefits from good age with cut outs in the inner trunk it is doubtful it started life with the movement.

Very slim case with the trunk measuring 10.5 inches across and long door.

Clock runs ok but may require regulating after being in transit.

Trunk does lean back slightly however as it is placed against a wall this isn’t a issue.
